New tablet for students launched in India – Classpad

Classpad, this can be next Aakash Tablet for India. Classpad is innovation of Rohit Pande, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Rohit wants that every child should get access to education and they should be given chance to show their capabilities and talent. With time they should improve their skills and Classpad will help them in this target.

Classpad will boost interactive learning in the classroom and will allow students to show their talent, skills Classpad can also be used by teachers to transfer work done in class to tablets of students. They can share image of any topic they are studying. Students can even give their tests or show their assignments using this tablet. This will surely make students independent and responsible. This will also encourage students to perform extra activities other than learning, writing.

Classpad can run upto 7hours and has a touch screen. This means students can easily perform various activities and normally they can use it for everything in school. Usually schools run for 5-6 hours and Classpad can work for 7 hours. It also has a processor of 1.3 Ghz. This will make work faster and smoother. Students can store data upto 4 GB but it can be expanded to 8 GB.

Mr. Rohit Pande, CEO, Classteacher Learning Systems said, “Classpad tests capabilities, skills and creativity of students and according to that it will help them to develop those skills. But our current education system does not train/teach students according to their interest and skills. Classpad also ranks students as fast learners, average learners and slow learners. Teachers can now complete their syllabus within scheduled time period and then concentrate on slow learners. He also added that “Classpad is available for students in standard 3 to 12.”

  1. Very nice post! Looks good that the ubislate will now not be with akash. Well, never heard about classpad either. Still, i am going to buy the tablet. After all, its for us students!
